On Saturday, September 4th Africare is partnering with the Anacostia Economic Development Corporation and The William C. Smith Company to celebrate Community, Culture and Care at the Africare Health Jam Event in S.E. Washington DC.  The event will bring together leading community organizations, partners and charities dedicated to improving health in Washington DC and abroad. Free medical screening tests, advisory services, and educational booths will be available to the public. And live music & entertainment will blend sounds from the U.S. and the African Continent.

It’s all part of Africare’s commitment to the community, pledge to improved health, and drive to bridge the gap between the U.S. and Africa!

  • Blood Pressure screening
  • Basic Eye exams
  • Basic Dental exams
  • BMI analysis
  • Bone scanning
  • Carotid artery scanning
  • Cholesterol testing
  • Diabetes counseling and glucose testing
  • HIV/AIDS counseling and testing

 

LIVE Entertainment:

Live Music and entertainment will be provided by The Ark Jammers, Meron Bravo, Gen3tiks and Zezeh Brazil!
