From A to Z … Africare and Zipcar Collaborate To Raise Money and Awareness

WASHINGTON, DC, November 29, 2006 — Africare staff joined Zipcar regional representatives in a community collaboration to support Africare's development projects and initiatives.The Zipcar Winter Member Holiday Party, hosted at the Cue Bar on U Street, NW, in Washington D.C., selected Africare to be the beneficiary of a raffle that aims to support area non-profit organizations. The event raised almost $200, and opened the door for lasting relationships with local Zipcar users.

Zipcar is the world's largest and fastest growing car sharing service. The company currently operates 2,500 vehicles in London and 13 states and provinces throughout the United States and Canada, including metropolitan Washington DC, Boston, Chicago, San Francisco, Minneapolis, Toronto and New York.
