Health Care in Rural South Africa

WASHINGTON, DC, June 7, 2007— Africare has partnered with the South African Depression and Anxiety Group to bring an innovative solution for depression to rural communities in South Africa through talking books. The technology is changing the stigma surrounding mental ailments like depression and helping individuals learn more about their mental health, even if they are unable to read.
