DC, December 18, 2009-- For the first time, Africare challenged all guests at the 2009 Bishop Walker Dinner to “Text a Pledge” (donation) to Africare using their mobile phones.  The appeal pledged $7,200 to Africare, and all donations made over $250 were entered into a contest to win a diamond necklace courtesy of DeBeers. The lucky winner of the diamond necklace was Mr. Brandon Jackson of Glendale, Maryland.

Congratulations Mr. Jackson and thank you for your continued support to Africare!
