"Africare cares for me! Day by day I am growing..."
Leusia, Age 5 Angola
On May 7th, Africare marks World Orphans AIDS Day
with a “call to give back.”
19,000,000 children have lost one or both parents to the HIV/AIDS virus, leaving a new
generation of young children to take-up the responsibilities of adulthood at
alarming rates. Astoundingly, 81% of the world’s orphan population
is located in Sub-Saharan Africa.*
With your help, Africare is combating the rise of these
statistics through a combination of community-led programs.
Pass on the knowledge… and make a difference today!
