September, 2009: Africare Tanzania is celebrating the procurement of a five year grant from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) for  Kaya Home Based Care Community Care Initiative (Kaya CCI). Africare will work together with Care and Treatment Programs to holistically link households with community care networks in Mara, Manyara and Kagera regions. The project aims to scale up home based care (HBC) services for 10,000 people living with HIV  (PLHIV) and provide home based counseling and testing (HBCT) targeting over 35,000 individuals in three regions and 15 districts of Tanzania.
