Many employers offer their employees the ease of making a contribution to Africare in two ways: through Workplace Giving and employer Matching Gift initiatives.
Africare is a part of Global Impact’s annual giving campaigns where nearly 500 companies and other private-sector employers provide their employees with a list of qualified charities to support. Check to see if your employer sponsors a Workplace Giving Campaign, or whether they will match your gift today!
Some companies hold employee-giving drives that let staff donate to their favorite charities in a way that's both convenient and secure; convenient because gifts are sent through payroll deductions in small amounts year-round – all without the need of a check. Secure because the eligible charities are pre-screened to meet high standards of financial management and program effectiveness.
Africare is a part of most Workplace Giving Campaigns as a
member of the Global Impact charity partnership.
Support Africare through its Combined Federal Campaign Code #11107.
Who Can Donate Through Workplace Giving Campaigns
- U.S. federal employees and military personnel (within the U.S. and abroad)
- U.S. state and local government employees
- Private-sector employees
For more information about Workplace Giving Campaigns, please contact your company’s Human Resources department or Africare’s Office of Development.
Some companies and organizations match their employees' gifts to qualifying charitable organizations, often doubling or even tripling your personal contributions to Africare.
While Matching Gifts initiatives are completely individual to an organization, we encourage you to ask your employer what their policy is for Matching Gifts.
Does your employer offer a Matching Gifts program?
Simply request their Matching Gift Form and send it alongside your gift to:
440 R Street, N.W.
Washington, D.C. 20001
Africare will then send you a gift receipt, and forward our portion of the Matching Gift Form to your employer for their matched contribution.
If your employer does not participate in Matching Gifts just yet:
Encourage them to start a Matching Gift program! Africare can help by sending a packet of information to your workplace by email or U.S. mail. For more information, contact Africare's Office of Development:
