Angola
Africare has worked on the front lines of assistance to the people of Angola since 1990. Of necessity, the work has focused on emergency aid; more recently, with the advent of peace, Africare has broadened its development work, especially in the areas of agriculture and health.

- Food security and resettlement assistance to demobilized soldiers
- Water resource development

- Child survival
- Malaria prevention
- Polio eradication
- Emergency health and food assistance to displaced persons
- Vocational training for young women and teenaged girls
- Introduction of solar-powered flashlights
