Tens of thousands suffering in the aftermath of Cyclone Idai.

The cyclone that hit Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Malawi, and Madagascar has killed hundreds, and many are still missing. Entire communities, infrastructure, communications, farms and more have been wiped out.  Food – when and if it can be found – has doubled and even tripled in price.  At times like these, deadly waterborne diseases like cholera are certain to follow and have already been reported.

Officials are deeply concerned about remote communities that are cut off by flooding and landslides.  Africare works with communities like those devastated by extreme climate events.  In the wake of these tragedies, what comes next?

Resilience is key.  The kind of coordinated, focused and customized approach to community development Africare has developed over nearly 50 decades of working in Africa brings new hope.

Your gift can help people in need in Africa overcome these difficult times.  Give to Africare today.
