On Friday, March 6, Africare/Senegal hosted a breakfast in celebration of International Women’s Day. The theme was Female Entrepreneurship in Senegal.
The event was supported by Dalberg Global and Sedima, a Senegalese poultry and feed company and a partner in Africare/Senegal’s food security and agribusiness projects. The twenty high-level participants included Mayor of Senegal’s Podor Region Aissata Tall Sall and represented numerous public and private institutions including the World Bank and the Women’s Association of Jurists.
The next step following the International Women’s Day Celebration is creating an investment fund for women entrepreneurs. The first meeting is to be held this week!
