WASHINGTON (January 23, 2014) — Africare, an African-American founded development organization committed to improving the lives of people in Africa, announced that Stephen D. Cashin, founder and CEO of Pan African Capital Group (PACG), has become its new Chairman of the Board.
Africare is dedicated to establishing partnerships that innovatively address development challenges in Africa.
WASHINGTON (August 22, 2013) – Africare, a non-profit organization committed to improving the lives of people in Africa, today announced that its board of directors has appointed four new members. Mamadou Beye, manager, International Affairs at Chevron; Jeffrey R. Krilla, co-chair, Africa Practice, Dentons, LLP; Bobby Pittman, managing partner, Kupanda Capital; and General William “Kip” Ward, senior advisor, SENTEL Corporation, will join Africare’s board of directors, effective today.

Washington, D.C., June 16, 2008 – Africare’s Board of Directors Chairman Frank Fountain has been awarded a Peace Corps Directors Award. The Award honors returned Peace Corps Volunteers of color who continue their commitment to community service and promote a better understanding of other peoples on the part of Americans.
