Chief Financial Officer
Jeff Freedman is the Acting Chief Financial Officer, responsible for advancing the overall financial health and operations of Africare.
Mr. Freedman has 20 years of financial experience in developing countries, specializing in audit management, internal audit reviews and fraud examination for non-profit clients working for USAID. Before joining Africare, Mr. Freedman provided professional consulting services in financial analysis, compliance support and internal controls designed for federal contractors operating in Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Eastern Europe. He has worked in more than 30 countries and is adept at achieving superior results in challenging environments. Prior to consulting, Mr. Freedman worked for Sears Logistics Service where he built and led a successful operations team.
Mr. Freedman holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Tampa and studied accounting and business law at Montgomery College, Rockville, MD. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner and a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the Institute of Internal Auditors. Mr. Freedman is a past President and Treasurer of the Hebrew Day Institute.
