Lauretta J. Bruno

Lauretta J. Bruno is the President and Founding Partner of Gramercy Partners LLC, an investment advisory and management consulting firm focusing on Africa for U.S. and European clients. Gramercy also advises South African and European firms, foundations and universities on U.S. issues. Gramercy Partners LLC received the New York District Export Council’s prestigious Small Business Global Trade Award for Service Exports in 2010, presented to a New York company with less than 100 employees whose growth and achievements are recognized internationally. Prior to founding Gramercy Partners in 1997, Ms. Bruno worked for more than 18 years with JP Morgan & Co/ Morgan Guaranty, including 12 years as JP Morgan’s Investment Banking Division Head of Africa.  She was the architect of a successful strategy positioning JP Morgan as a respected financial partner and intermediary for African issuers and investors. Throughout her career, Ms. Bruno has served on a number of non-profit boards, including her current role as a member of the Advisory Board of the International Center for Journalists in Washington, D.C. Ms. Bruno earned her Master of Business Administration in Finance from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Urban Studies from Manhattanville College.
